JACK CIAPCIAK is a New York-based Writer and Producer, originally from St. Louis, Missouri. His TikTok series, Daily Thoughts on Grief, has cultivated a deeply engaged community and millions of views. Jack’s vulnerability and ability to speak authentically on how he’s survived an unspeakable loss has inspired millions and helped many grieving people navigate life’s twists and turns with empathy, humor, and heart. His work blends storytelling, reflection, and gentle reminders that grieving hearts are not alone.

An award winning Playwright and TV writer, Jack has spent years crafting compelling stories, most notable writing and co-producing CBS’s Hit Series, Blue Bloods. He wrote 11 episodes over six seasons, two of which were recently named to the "25 Best Blue Bloods episodes" by TV Guide, out of 293.

With a sharp eye for storytelling and a deep passion for meaningful conversations, he now channels his expertise into fostering a community where people can embrace change, redefine grief, and move forward with their lives after loss.

A proud New York University alum, Jack graduated in 2015 with a BFA in Dramatic Writing, laying the foundation for his dynamic career. His thesis play NAMING THE DOG won the NYU Goldberg Prize for Best Play and was the inaugural selection for the Tennessee Williams Festival St. Louis's New Play Initiative.

His journey—like so many others—has been full of unexpected turns. After sharing a TikTok documenting his decision to turn the bench where he proposed into a memorial for his late fiancé, Jack’s story resonated with millions. As the video went viral, a wave of support poured in, creating a community of grievers who saw their own strength reflected in his—arriving at a time when he needed it most. Inspired by this response, Bench Chats with Jack was born: an interview series from the bench, where Jack asks New Yorkers the question: Who are you grieving?

With the series set to officially launch this Fall, Jack is building a space for honest conversations about grief, growth, resilience, and embracing the unexpected. Surrounded by incredible friends and a loving family, he is passionate about sharing his insights, experiences, and unfiltered honesty—proving that with resilience, humor, and community, anything is possible.
